Diesel Spills · Fleets and Fuel Islands

Diesel Spill Cleaner That Lifts the Fuel Off the Concrete.

Diesel on a fuel island or a yard is the most common spill a fleet has. Pads soak some of it and the stain and the smell stay. Hasten Cleanse, diluted from a pail and sprayed on the spill, bonds to the diesel, suppresses the vapor, and lifts it from the concrete or soil so it can be recovered and rinsed. Water-based, no flash point.

Concrete, asphalt, soil. Spray, agitate with a broom, recover, rinse.
Fuel islands and shops. Rinse water goes to the separator as non-hazardous.

On a Diesel Spill

Stop the source. Contain if it is spreading.
Spray diluted Hasten Cleanse, 1:20 from the pail, over the spill. Vapor drops as it bonds.
Agitate with a brush or broom on concrete; work it into soil; let it sit on water.
Recover: vac, pump, or pads for the last of the water. Runoff is non-hazardous.
Rinse hard surfaces at 1:50.

Absorbent pads soak up the oil and become oily waste you pay to dispose of. A diluted spray of Hasten Cleanse bonds to the hydrocarbon, suppresses the vapor coming off it, and lifts it from concrete, soil, steel, or water so it can be recovered. The spill gets cleaner, not just drier, and there is no bale of oily pads at the end.

Why It Works on Diesel

Vapor

Diesel vapor down

Bonds to the fuel and slows vaporization. Less smell, less exposure for the crew.

Surface

Lifts from concrete

Breaks the bond between fuel and concrete or asphalt. Agitation finishes it.

Water

Non-hazardous rinse

Suspended diesel in water to the separator. No solvent.

Limits

Fresh and recent

Old, oxidized stains that have set into concrete for years are a different problem. It lifts fuel; it does not bleach.

What Hasten Cleanse does not do

It is not a solvent and not a caustic. It will not dissolve, melt, or strip material that is physically bonded or baked onto a surface: scale, rust, hardened deposits, coatings. It lifts hydrocarbons, oil, grease, crude, sludge, and paraffin, by emulsifying them, and it needs agitation, circulation, pressure, or heat to do that work. If your problem is a stuck-on solid rather than a hydrocarbon film or residue, tell us and we will say so.

Pails, Pallets, Shipping

No added bacteriaNothing in the pail is alive. Hasten Cleanse feeds the microbes you already have, in a treatment plant, a separator, or the soil, instead of competing with them.
